Ha Na Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. She received her B.A and M.F.A at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She works primarily in performative video, performance, installation, an experimental film. Her recent work focused on short videos and films that address inner experiences through abstract imagery and an
experimental narrative form.

Her work has exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions internationally.  

Her recent short film, Abrasion was officially selected and invited to screen in international film festivals. She was a recipient of a New York Foundation of Arts (NYFA)Fellowship, S.O.S grant, in 2009 and won the Goldberger Graduate Research Fellowship at Stony Brook University in New York in 2008. Her current research focuses on an expansion of cinematic experiences in the context of interactive art.
